But despite a commitment to fitness, it was not enough. On a day, like any other, out for a pleasant lunch with his beloved wife, he tragically lost his life when food blocked his windpipe in a crowded restaurant during the Sunday lunch rush. Although people attempted to help him, the Heimlich maneuver was not performed. Had there been a LifeVac mounted on the wall, Greg’s life could have been saved. This generous man who chose to run the bridges of Chattanooga every morning, pumping oxygen into his lungs, breathed his last breath in a room full of people.
